NEW PUPPIES!

Yesterday our black lab, Daisy, gave birth to 7 puppies! Unfortunately only 5 made it. She had two boys, then two girls, then one more boy. Her next was a boy, but he was stillborn. 4 hours later, she gave birth to another boy, but because she was "dry-birthing" him, due to the fact that the sack of water had already broken, he didn't make it through the birth. When she was pushing, I knew something was wrong when she was pushing for about 10 minutes and he was not coming out. I have a friend that is a certified breeder that came over and assisted Daisy in getting him out, but unfortunately it was too late. But like she said, "5 puppies smell much nicer than 7 puppies"! So, after being awoken a couple times last night by crying puppies, I am pretty okay with there only being 5! Here are some pictures of our latest addition! Sorry about the poor image quality (they are cell phone pictures). If anyone would like to purchase a puppy, call me and let me know. They are Boradors, 1/2 black lab, 1/2 border collie. They are all black and some have white markings on their feet and chest.

Abby!

So, in lieu of not blogging for weeks, I decided I better make up for some lost time! Abby is getting bigger every single day! We took her to the pediatrician to get her immunizations and he told me she was "the picture of perfect health" and that it was time to move on to bigger and better foods. She is not what you would call a picky eater, so that is good. She basically will eat whatever you put in front of her, with the exception of bananas still. I don't blame the girl, I personally think there are only two uses for bananas, in banana cream pie and in banana bread.
She has learned how to get around to anywhere she wants to go by using the pivot and roll method. Here are a few pictures of her rolling in action.
Hmmm... I think I want to get that toy over there! Watch me go! Here I go!

Oh, such hard work... Ahah! I got it! Now, if I could only get Honey to leave me alone!!

Honey and Abby are becoming pretty good friends! Honey thinks Abby is playing with her and Abby thinks Honey is playing with her! All in all, they get along pretty well, which is something that I was pretty worried about when I found out I was pregnant.

Here she is standing up next to her "jumperoo". It is a good thing that she likes to play with it from the outside because pretty soon she will not be able to be on the inside!

Well, as you can see, she is certainly growing bigger every day and all the other things are going really well for the Snyder trio! Steve is loving his new job and I am loving staying at home!

New car... kind of!

Since Steve had started at his new job, as grateful as I am for it, we had decided that we were going to be on the search for a "rice burner" since he is now traveling to almost the airport in Salt Lake every day. You know, a little, beat up car that will efficiently get you from point A to point B, not necessarily "in style." After perusing around for a few weeks, we hit the jackpot! Sleek, stylish, but most importantly great gas mileage! It is a 1986 Honda Civic Wagovan. Have you ever heard of a Wagovan? I sure hadn't! Not until I met this beauty, of course. The best part about it is it only has 99,000 miles on it! It was bought brand new by a lady. She parked it under a tree about 2 years ago and was sick of looking at it, so she donated it to a charity. We then bought it from the charity. We are currently trying to give it a name, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know! Oh and by the way, try not to be tooo jealous!
