It has been a long time.

Well, its been a long time since a post was last made. Lori has been extremely busy, as have I. I had a little free time on my hands, so I thought that I would take a couple minutes and try to figure out how this blog thing works. Since the last posting, we have done a lot of things.

We took a trip to Colorado for the 4th of July. While we were there Lori got to pan for gold for her first time. We got some gold! I would take a picture of it, but you probably wouldn't be able to see it. Its that big! This is; however, a picture that we did take in Colorado of a poppy. Pretty, huh!

We also took a trip to Baker Oregon with Lori's parents for Allen's 50th class reunion. This is a picture of Abby with her Grandpa Allen (Lori's dad). This picture was taken while we were on vacation with them.

While we were there we got to go see Lori's really funny Uncle Randall. We got to continue our summer search for gold.

He is partner in a large gold mine that was originally opened in the 1860's. In the 1950's there was a wage dispute and miners blew up the tunnel. Randall and his partners are working to re-open it. These are some pictures of the mine tunnel. It was a lot of fun to go and see all the gold veins on the walls of the shaft. We also panned for a little more gold with Randall in the river behind his house.

While we were in the hotel on our trip to Oregon, Abby worked on her skills as "Daddy's little helper" by helping me to mix her a bottle. How can you get angry with that innocent little face. If only the formula wasn't so dang expensive!

Abby is getting big and will be walking any day. She is trying so hard, and wants so bad to walk. A few days ago we caught her in the bathroom having some fun... kind of gross, but what kid hasn't played in the toilet, right?

Lori has been helping at the Heritage School sew costumes for the up coming production of Joseph and the Technicolor Coat. Which has taken a lot of her time, but it is good that she is able to help do that.

I have just been sitting around a lot the last few days. I was at work, and stepped into a pothole and tore the ligaments in my ankle. Ouch! It has really slowed me down a lot. It has been a little over a week now and it is still really painful. It is still very swollen and bruised. Probably because I decided to go back to work too soon. I was tired of sitting around, but oh well.

We have decided to sell our house in American Fork. So last week we put it on the market. Once the house sells, we will be moving to Cedar City, so I can finish my schooling, and finally get the degree that I started on 3 or 4 years ago. (Maybe longer... I can't remember... that's how long it has been.) I plan on majoring in business, with a minor in either finance or marketing. I have not decided that part yet. So this has been a very difficult decision to make, but we feel that this will be best for our future. So, if you know anyone looking to buy a house in the American Fork area send them our way. They can have the chance to live on King St.
